msn.com: gloom-and-doom tabloid?
 

Is there a more gloom and doom tabloid web page than msn.com? Bill Gates should be ashamed.

Right now, the headlines posted include: "Dow streak ties 1927 record" followed by "Is the surging stock market dangerous?" and just below that "How the mortgage crisis hurts you?" Yeah, especially with fixed rates at 5.8% in my neighborhood.

Prior to that, we heard about how there are going to be 9 hurricanes in Florida this year (last year, they predicted 6--there were none). Property insurance rates have gone through the roof in Florida. Thanks, Bill.

And then, there are the "polls": "Do you think the housing market is going to crash? Yuck.

And then there's the Paris-Brittany-who was the blond that died?celebrity syndrome. Yuck.

Pardon me--but I'm just fed up with Bill Gates and his tabloid web page. Why doesn't his Foundation spend some money and clean it up. It's Yahoo for me.

P.S. The auto section is very good.
