Why is this not big news..Where is FBI

This has been talked about on conservative radio but not main stream media. Where is the FBI and Homeland Security on this ?? Many such places in the US.

The reporting seems a bit biased. Maybe it's just me.

wow, I had no idea Canada had such interesting writers. Did you read that they have proof that the Russians are directly involved with Bin Laden?

Holy crap, we better bomb the Russians before it is too late!

Or maybe Canada!

The FBI usually confines itself to arresting people who break the law and watching suspicious others. Much like Randy Weaver, these kooks seem to have secluded themselves in a compound where they can be with others of like mind. So far the article didn't mention any actual illegal activity, which as I sugested, is supposed to be required before the FBI acts, although it does not always and sometimes jumps the gun. I would guess that if Ron Paul knows about them the FBI probably has an agent or two watching over the compound.

I blame Canada.

Huh?

From the article: Islamberg is a branch of Muslims of the Americas Inc., a tax-exempt organization formed in 1980 by Pakistani cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, who refers to himself as "the sixth Sultan Ul Faqr," Gilani, has been directly linked by court documents to Jamaat ul-Fuqra or "community of the impoverished," an organization that seeks to "purify" Islam through violence...

Over the years, numerous members of Jamaat ul-Fuqra have been convicted in US courts of such crimes as conspiracy to commit murder, firebombing, gun smuggling, and workers' compensation fraud. Others remain leading suspects in criminal cases throughout the country, including ten unsolved assassinations and seventeen fire-bombings between 1979 and 1990.

Competentone....it says "numerous members", not that the organization itself is guilty of these crimes. I'm not naive- I think this organization and ones like it need to be watched very carefully. I have a hard time believing that they aren't already.

At least I hope...

Ummmmm....now how exactly do the know that the FBI is NOT watching these jokers?

Look, do these guys REALLY sound like some legit terrorist group? They sound more like a bunch of nuts. Something bad may come of it, but I think its more likely to be a Waco than a World Trade Center.

We have one of these "compounds" going in near Katy, Texas. It is not being well received. The owner of the land next door is having pig races every weekend.

Sounds like the Michigan Militia in bath robes...
