30" Wheels

This picture was taken yesterday in Cincinnati. It is not PhotoShop'ed. The car is a mint condition "Crazy Plum" metallic Firebird riding on 30" wheels. I am simply speechless.

When will this insanity end?

You know, I was speechless before, but now I'm just plain nauseous.....

I mean, I understand the basic ricer/boy racer thing. These guys are saying, "Look at me! I'm a real race car driver!" But I have absolutely no connection with the looks in the above photos. I just don't get it. What are these guys saying? "Look at me! I'm a pimp!" Why don't they just cut to the chase and all drive monster trucks? WTF!!

When those supporting the fad grow up...

That being said, the smart Caucasian guy who owns the "spinning rim" shop here is laughing all the way to the bank!

Wonder if there is a connection between dogfighting and having 24" plus wheels on your Cutlass(or whatever) So you use a little stepladder to get in or what?

Noney 07-21-2007 03:10 PM

No, you step on the back of some nappy-headed ho's.

Well, I think that connection (rappers, gangbangers & dog fighting) has been made:(

The one upside to all that is all the time these people spend on creating new "bling" is less time they're spending reproducing.

I used to really like big rims. My idea of big went out of fad 15 years ago it seems. Besides modern super sports cars, nothing else looks good with rims bigger than 17" IMHO.

SUV's with these huge rims and skinny sidewall tires look even more ridiculous.

Gogar 07-22-2007 01:01 PM

That's pretty wild when the consumables cost more than the entire car.

k9handler 07-22-2007 01:41 PM

crazy! On the other hand even when said in a joke, some of the comments made are pretty bad.

bell 07-22-2007 03:15 PM

the real reason that most of these "guys" spend rediculous amounts of money for big ass wheels on their pos cars is called money laundering.........."untracable" expensive assets make the hood go round.

jbripps 07-22-2007 07:46 PM

Hmmmmm...very interesting....you think they used any spacers?

Mr9146 07-22-2007 08:12 PM

That ***** is dope!!

Brotha rolled up on his Donk Donks and I was, like, "DOOOOOOOG!!! That ***** be bumpin'!! You gots no idea, kid!! DAAAAAAAAAAMN!"

Ummmmm .... no. :(

Umm...I live across the street from the hood. The wheels are their only asset.

I take it you don't have a lot of "gangsta's" (LOL) in Montana?

bell 07-22-2007 10:06 PM

the ones who actually live in "the hood" who are actually "players" do not really live in the hood, they have a house somewhere in a shady area and will have cars in many different garages......when they "do their business" they roll a plain jane olds or something of the like which will attract the least attention from the cops, their other cars with the big wheels are statements to get all the kids excited.......
