Thank God for rich guys, I yet to have a poor person come up to me and offer me a job. "arrogant"? don't think that has anything to do with being rich or poor? I have never met him so I don't know if he is really arrogant? have you?

Arrogant?! Pot, meet kettle. Kettle, meet pot. Dear God man, look in the damn mirror. You're the one with the audacity to look down upon everyone who eats meat. Or kills animals. Or steps on bugs. Fossett did things that nobody else thought were possible. Other than annoying a lot of people on the internet, what have you done worth remembering?

You have repeated shown yourself to be a bitter, resentful, disrespectful, and generally loathsome individual. There's many on here I disagree with, you're the first to make me consider the ignore function.

On-ramp wins the toolbox award, probably for the entire year.

Seems like a pretty cool dude.

Hope he makes it home safe.

Sense when did lots-o-money automatically mean you had to share?

I say bless his heart that he had the nuts and the brains to make a fortune and even more golf claps for a guy that lived life for a thrill instead of sitting around counting dividends!

I don't think Google Earth is live...isn't it like weeks to months old data?

Of course it's not live, but...

DigitalGlobe, one of Google's imaging partners, has acquired new high-resolution satellite imagery of the area where Fossett disappeared on Monday. The public can now go through this imagery and quickly flag any images that might contain Fossett's plane. Flagged images will receive further review by search and rescue experts.
When you download the .kml file and go to that area, the new images will load.

Someone has already found something interesting looking and reported it. Check out 38 29' 03.51" N 119 24' 21.64" W.

It is sad to see one human being with so little compassion for others. Says a lot about what is wrong with our society. I even sensed a bit of envy in the vitriol.

Feelings like that are best kept to one's self. "Better to stay silent and be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth ane erase all doubt".

Oh. duh.

Wouldn't it be cool if they found him this way? This could totally revolutionize rescue searches too.....

Another arrogant rich guy who thinks they impervious to disaster. the Superman complex.

Well, wouldn't you know it. I hadn't been in OT for months. So, I decide to check if anything has changed. Nope, first thing I read is a dumba$$ comment from some fool with no money. Why don't you take the time to read what he's done.

On the flip side, if that spirit in mankind to explore and stretch the envelope didn't exist, then maybe the "new world" wouldn't have been discovered, and we wouldn't have goons like you running around.

BTW, I've met Steve Fossett, he's none of what you describe.

I heard on the radio today that searchers found 6 other long-lost plane wrecks, all with human remains. They all must have been egotistical bastards just out polluting the atmoshere, too.

I admire guys who live life to the last drop.

Publicly or in obscurity, I'd rather truely enjoy life rather than complain about others that do.

Wow on-ramp, at first I thought you had intended your post to be some sarcastic joke. But maybe now I see your "true colors shining through". Takes me back to memorizing Donne's "Meditation XVII" in 3rd grade. I'm sorry you are so bitter.
