Does anyone here have experiences with a tour of Porsche factory. Is it possible to get inside to view the production line? I'll be in Germany soon and this would make an excellent addition to the itinerary.

Yes, you can and it is excellent. Need reservations in advance. Search on the main board for contact info.

My brothers did that tour when he went to pick up a 911 in 1984. Said it was kind of funny to see the Mercedes factory(huge, colossal size) then see the Porsche factory, which made him think he was in the wrong place it looked so small.
Take spare batteries for your camera.

You need to schedule months in advance via PCNA office in Atlanta... put the icing on the cake and arrange for factory delivery of a new car, or perhaps coordinate the restoration of a 356 or early 911 and pick it up there... (don't i wish for my 356!)

Hey, if you pick up your new car when you're there, they buy you lunch. Really.
