It's ALCS time!
|
They are still playing baseball? Good grief!
|
10-3?!?! Woot!!!
|
Yup. Beckett and the bats did what they needed to do. Only 7 more wins left...

Nope. Here come the Rockies. |
They sure looked good last night.
Thought it would be closer. I wonder if having the ball hit back at him by the rookie took a little of the edge off Sabathia ? A lot of balls went up the middle in that first - shell shock ? Maybe just a lot of great at bats. Carmona should make it a bit more interesting. |
Yea, watching the replay of that hit is amazing - damn lucky Sabathia got his hand/glove in the way. I shudder to think what would have happened if that ball had ever caught him in the side of the head - which it absolutely would have. . . I know I'd have been a bit rattled by that one.

Man, I hope the Diamondbacks pull it out! That way I'll only have to drive to AZ to see the Red Sox in the World Series!!
Go Sox! T-minus one hour...and counting. Manny Ramirez - "Say Ju-low to my little friend!!" Love that guy. How about that catch last night?! |
The catch was great and I'm amazed that the ball didn't catch on fire on his first hit...

Well, game 2 didn't go as planned. Both teams pitched pretty great until the 11th...
|
Missed the game (I was out of town yesterday) but just read the highlights - WTF? SEVEN runs against one of the supposedly best bullpens in the game? What the hell happened? All of a sudden things don't look so good. Dice-k in Cleveland? Meh. I dunno about that one. Hopefully Wakefield will have a good night for his start. I figure we'll win Beckett's game so probably coming back to Boston for a Game #6 either 2-3 or 3-2. We shall see. Hopefully the latter, with Schill on the Hill in Fenway for Game 6. Wouldn't that be just sweet?
|
Well, the guys that are going to be relied on most heavily pitched well: Timlin, Delcarmen, Okajima, Papelbon. Gagne struck out the first batter he faced, but allowed two runners on. Eric Wedge decided to pinch-hit Trot Nixon for Travis Hafner, and Francona countered with lefty Javy Lopez. Lopez was unable to retire a batter. Next came Lester, who didn't have a lot of time to warm up, and a Cleveland batter (don't remember who - it was 1:30 AM) hit a 3-run homer off him.
Not too worried, to be honest. If the Sox drop another game, then I'll start to worry. |
It's almost game time again.
"We gonna' get it on 'cause we don't get along!" ----Muhammed Ali GO SOX! |
Awe man, this is looking sweet. A few more innings to go, and baseball could only have 5 games left this year.
Go Tribe. |
Yea, only a grand slam necessary to tie. Assuming Cleveland doesn't light 'em up again.
Screw it. I'm officially giving up on the Sox this year. They're not playing like they want it. If anyone's playing that way, it's Colorado. The Sox haven't done a single thing yet to show me they deserve it. |
9th inning coming up
>>>>>>GO TRIBE<<<<<<<< Sox go home in defeat on Thursday Another World Series in Cleveland will be unbelievable!!!! |
