Someone f'd up when I bought so now I own the problem.

One of the wifes friends has a lead on PO.

I'll pay out of pocket if I have to but you can bet your ass I'm going after PO.

It's not the money, it's the principal of the thing.

I agree. For sure I'd try to recoup that.

Find out what the last Land Survey on the house said, if it did not disclose a 3rd floor then sue the surveyor.

There is one rule in all construction: Its always the Surveyors fault.

According to Hillary it's the Mortgage Brokers fault.

So the expeditor was by today.

Garage was also extended, 4 ft longer than last survey.

Need a permit for that as well.

More $'ss.

Had a conversation with the attorney that handled the purchase for me 12 years ago.

Was obvious after about 5 seconds that she was not going to accept any responsibility for f'ng this up.

Expeditor told me there is an arbitration committee in NY that I can take it to.

He had an attorney screw up a deal that cost him $12k and he recouped $11k of it.

Costs me nothing more than a few hours of documentation.

Worth a shot.
