Headin' to Punta Cana - Anyone Been There?
 

Heading off to Punta Cana Bahia Principe for a few days. Never been, looked good, price was right, referral from a friend. Anyone been there done that?

Don't drink unbottled water but otherwise have a blast!!!! BTDT, its a good place to unwind.

Went to the Grand Bahia Principe in Dec'05, FANTASTIC. Went with a group of 10 friends had a blast. We upgraded to the Gold Package and our rooms were right at the beach overlooking the pool, would highly suggest doing this as the resort is huge and walking to the beach from other sites can be long. Book your dinner reservations as soon as you get there for the week (or two) room service 24/7 and beer stocked twice daily in room. I hate sweet girly drinks but order a "Chocolate Monkey" at the bar found at the beach near the last pool, great in the morning for hangovers. Huge market on the Beach about a 15 min walk to the right of the resort, cheap everything. Have fun, would go back in a second. One bit of advice, do not leave open food or drinks in your room, these small bugs will find it and call hundreds of their friends, we left on the 2nd last day an open bottle of Bailey's on the dresser, it was covered with bugs, don't get me wrong, the rooms are great and cleaned twice a day. Have fun........Do not touch the :D'Root Juice', you will be sorry.
