LOS ANGELES -- The pop princess is a big spender.

Court papers released Thursday in Britney Spears' custody dispute with Kevin Federline show she spends lavishly on clothes and entertainment, and doesn't save or invest any of her roughly $737,000 monthly income.

Spears' monthly expenses include $49,267 in mortgage for two houses, $16,000 for clothes and $102,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacation, according to her financial declaration.

Although she's often photographed eating fast food, Spears declares she spends about $4,758 per month dining out. Meanwhile, she spends zero on education, savings and investments and gives $500 a month in charitable contributions, the documents said.

Some highlights:

First how the hell does she make $737k a MONTH?? Figuring taxes, she would be grossing something around $14-15 mil a year? For WHAT?

Second, how the hell do you spend $16k a month on clothes? We know none of it goes for underwear...

Lastly, kudos to her for giving up $500 a month in charitable contributions :rolleyes:

Who cares. It's her money.

My point is I don't understand how she can have that income when she hasn't had an album out in forever and her new one just came out. Is she really getting that much in royalties off of "Hit Me Baby One More Time"? I don't listen to popular radio but I haven't heard a Britney Spears song in ages...

Are those baby clothes or her clothes?

My neighbor Bob spends $10/month for the newspaper. I've seen him bring bags of food in from the supermarket from time to time as well.

Believe or not, her new album is and has been #1 on iTunes for quite a while now and appears to be selling well.

Sounds like she will continue to self-destruct, just add financial self-destruction to the list. Only a matter of time.

The mere fact that someone that makes that much even has a mortgage is pathetic. Even worse is the lack of savings. Another 10 years, I project her either being a second rate porn star or a trailer queen.

I onced saved money on garbage collection by bringing the packaging from my previous nights dinner into work with my brown bag lunch. That way I could chuck it in my office trash can (the packaging not the lunch)
Of course, I'm living it up now and have a big blue garbage can that gets picked up every week - FROM MY HOUSE!
Luxury.

Even that's an improvement on being dead by Christmas which we were predicting a month ago.

With all that money, burning it on bull***** clothing and expensive dining out. A completely worthless brat living like a princess doll and handing out pennies to the poor.

Glad I don´t live in H-wood or similar places. I would have suffered daily from seeing such dekadence.

If my sources are correct, I hear she has a kid that she is being about the worse mother possible to. Somebody please spank her with some authority and send her back to her mom. She shouldn´t be a mother, she still needs a mom herself.

I read somewhere that her total 'net worth' was about $100 mil.
It goes to show that a troubled has been washed up pop diva who had
2 hits can still have substantial earnings.

Her current record is doing well in sales, which goes to show that any PR is good PR these days.

She probably gets some income from former record sales, appearance fees, sales of DVDs that she did in the past etc. Remember that she is a global artist getting income from all corners of the world.

$14-15 mill a year is actually lower than what she should and could earn.
For example, Justin Timberlake took in a little over $20 mil in the past year, and other older artists do better than that.

Just think of how much money she 'could' have earned had she kept in shape and looking good, working on music, touring and films. With her appeal in the younger money-spending demographic she could be really raking $30-40million per year......

i'd still do her.

In my opinion, a bigger sham is how Curtis "Fitty" Cent raked in $80 million in the past year.

Not to criticize a whole music genre....but saw him and his possy on Letterman a couple of weeks ago and they were TERRIBLE!. Paul Shaffer's band was backing them, and Curtis could not rap in proper rhythm and was all over the place....no rhythm no soul....just spouting crap in warbling pitch into a microphone while his possy was going 'yeah yeah'... i mean it was sick garbage not worthy of being called music.

Id have been impressed had he actually been able to rap live, but he cant..... "Fitty" is all hype which goes to show how the majority of music buyers who pay for that genre of music can easily be manipulated by hype out of their cash.

And people say we are headed for a recession??
