Our cats would leave home if we subjected them to that torture...

(edit) For your kitty: GO TIDE! :D

JCF 11-03-2007 10:29 AM

The cat doesn't seem to mind.
Probably has never felt more superior to stupid humans.

Just what level of stunted growth causes people to remain tied to a college sports team ?
I can see following a team but the fanatical way some people seem to cling to a past through a sports team ?
I don't get it - and I played on a Div 1 team a lifetime ago.

Been waiting 10 months for the Bama Bowl!

I forgot to mention, no cats were harmed in the production of the above video and the coloring was liver based that was quite palatable to the cat. See if this is better,

To infinity!

I can see the fun in enjoying a good game but... grown men and women getting all hyped up over a bunch of boys in their teens and twenties playing a child's ball game... to the point of calling the opponent derogatory names and making fun of or identifying with the goofy cartoon characters that are the team mascots.

All good and expected from college kids barely out of high school but a bit hard to understand coming from adults.

Just the last (3rd) OT. Wow! Go Navy! :)

JCF 11-03-2007 04:22 PM

I saw the game.
Glad to see Navy do it - esp after that horrible p.i. call.

Yeah, wasn't it GREAT??? :D

gprsh924 11-03-2007 05:20 PM

Good game by LSU, but are you kidding me, how does that alabama guy drop that ball at the end of the game. He got hit hard, but with the game on the line you have to make that catch.

Shuie 11-03-2007 05:29 PM

Go Navy!

Nobody beats Navy 44 times in a row. Nobody.

Mule 11-03-2007 07:18 PM

If you watch LSU you'll see #16, Craig Steltz knock the ball loose regularly. Steltz brings lumber. Another heart attack game by LSU, but you're not going to go to sleep watching it.

Mule 11-03-2007 07:19 PM

It seems like the only team that couldn't beat Notre Dame was (formerly greatest team ever to lace up cleats) USC.

I don't believe USC has played Notre Dame yet, that was UCLA that lost
Read up on it, while you have some more moonshine.

"You wouldn't have to wonder. My friends at TVA used to joke that blacks were the most insulated from trouble. After that it was a toss up between women & Viet Nam vets. For some reason at TVA, being a VN vet was worth a lot. We always said that if you were a black, female, Viet Nam vet, you could take a dump on the president's desk & he'd wipe for you."

You have no class, what is your problem with Viet Nam Vets?
Did you go to Canada as a draft dodger?
Were you exempt from the draft with your cush job at TVA?
Don't you like it when Vets get something, a little lift, for doing something for their country you couldn't do?
But then you do sound like a biggot, sexist and a racist.
I still think you are mad because you couldn't get into USC.

Mule 11-03-2007 08:07 PM

Damn, Dude, chill for a minute. Hit the bong or something.

Oh by the way, it looks like come Monday, the number 2 team in the country will be the Fighting Tigers of LSU. Have a nice weekend.SmileWavy:eek:SmileWavy

the 11-03-2007 08:13 PM

good win by LSU. Do they ever NOT play a ranked team? Seems like every weekend they are playing a top 20 team.

A W is a W, but LSU still looks very shaky to me. Why is it every time I tune in, an LSU receiver is having the ball bounce off his hands?

Shuie 11-03-2007 08:14 PM

#2 will probably be Oregon, not LSU.

BRPORSCHE 11-03-2007 08:52 PM

idk Shuie. I think LSU has showed the voters that every week we play ranked opponents and can still keep winning. We sure didn't look pretty at the beginning, but we still pulled it off (again.)

Who would rather see play for the NC? LSU and Ohio State, LSU and Oregon, Ohio State and Oregon?

Early Doucet sure showed why he is invaluable to the team. It's great having such a playmaker back!

In 9 games the Tigers have played 2 @ #9, a #12 and 3 @ #17. I don't know how many teams play that kind of schedule. Miles said it himself, "I can tell you, that's as many mistakes as I've seen in a football game in my life. Maybe in a couple of seasons I've coached. I can promise you this: That will never happen again. I promise you that."

Bottom line, with quite a few stupid mistakes & some very questionable officiating, the Tigers beat their 3rd #17 team, at home. In the inimitable words of no less a poet than MC Hammer, Ohio State, "caint tush this."

It seems as though Miles has beaten (as was stated here) the 3 best coaches in the SEC. If anybody remembers, ESPN rated Miles like 120th or something stupid like that. Apparently the LSU Tigers are self coaching, 'cause they certainly seem to kick ass when it's called for.

Les Miles has beach balls & gets the job done, one of the best!

After watching Ohio State's pitiful performance in last year's BCS game, I'd take LSU/Oregon.

This Oregon team looks like it's for real! I think they'd beat LSU, at least at this point of the season.

Shuie 11-04-2007 06:46 AM

I want to see Oregon and Kansas play. OSU is really solid from what I've seen so far. They are a very complete team that can do it all and they have the experience. I really don't see LSU making it to a National Championship game at this point.

Mule 11-04-2007 08:59 AM

Two words, contact lenses.

pwd72s 11-04-2007 09:26 AM

I'm beginning to think the Ducks might be good this year. To say this hurts a Beavers fan. Damn, how I wish the Beavers had been able to keep Dennis Erickson...

Mule 11-04-2007 10:09 AM

AP & USA Today rank LSU #2.

sammyg2 11-04-2007 10:15 AM

What is it about LSU fans and excuses?
Everone under-rates us, we have the toughest schedule in the history of the world, bad officiating, the sun got in my eyes, too many of our players are suspended or in jail, give it a rest.

Oh, and who do people here refer to a football teak as "we"? "We" are not on the team. "We" are not part of the team. "We" are merely spectators.

Just in case you missed it Sammy.

Mule,

" We always said that if you were a black, female, Viet Nam vet, you could take a dump on the president's desk & he'd wipe for you."

I guess you weren't born black and weren't born a woman, but you could have served your country, what part of being a Viet Vet offends you? Was it because your daddy got you a job at TVA and you were exempt?

What did you have to do with the team that played Saturday, I thought the old coach recruited all the players on that team, is that you?

Mule 11-04-2007 04:34 PM

That really bothers you. Therapy maybe?
