Alonso and McLaren part ways... where to now
Here's an article
Where will he end up? I guess we'll find out soon. Bringing Toyota into the top ranks would be cool to see.

I wonder if he is heading back to Renault? They have an open seat.

He should go to BMW. They are ok and have deep pockets and BMW need to beat Mercedes Benz soon.
Kubica could go to McLaren. Alonso would eat Heidfeld for breakfast. I do not think he really wants to go back to Renault.... no chances of winning there for a while |

I think this is his best option. I think I'd sooner go to Red Bull than Renault.

Red Bull may be quick next year. They'll finally have a decent chassis.
I'm sure BWM has their lawyers reviewing contracts as we speak. |

BMW is the best of the rest
and red bull is getting better but I think honda very very deep pockets and while a bad year in 07 in o6 they won a race and were not bad over all |

At the beginning of the weekend it was looking like I was right, back to Renault.
As of tonight, believe it or not, Redbull is the buzzword and Ross Braun is now in the picture as well. It is VERY much the silly season and I appreciate it much as I do not follow stick and ball sports and nascar.

Good riddance.
Who will be Hamilton's "Massa"?

Ross Brown should go back to where he needs to be. Back with Todt, and the boys at Scuderia.
Hamilton "massa" should be with Kubica.

The LH issue is very bizarre, he wants a 'team player' to be his co-dirver at MCL...yet he has, by his own admission not been a team player this season, deliberately ignoring agreed strategies etc when it suits him.
Sadly we are seeing the effects of a generation of drivers who had MS as thier idol and for whom nothing but bias in the team is acceptable, regardless of whether or not they deserve it. To date LH has not earnt it....I know he was second, but he contributed very little to the development of the car. The perfoemance of the MCL next year will be far more telling of his ability. He is now responsible for leading the development...if he is really as good as he makes out (supported by many here in the UK) then he will win championships in cars he has developed and rightly be regarded as one of the better drivers. However he may, like JV win off the 'team's' efforts including the previous WDC, work and demonstrate in the gradual diminution of his performance an lack of development ability... or like Jenson Button and Rubens B or Trulli and Ralf S.. all 'good' drivers but seemingly unable to exploit the design team offering or massively influencing it...to get a great car. Look to MS's example in doing that...or even FA's. Its not by accident that they dominated the WDC... KR has used all of Ferrari's experience and ability to win this year, deservedly so, but it will be interesting to see if the rumours of an FA drive are true in 2009...Ferrari have made it clear they regard him as one of the key drivers in F1...becuase they know he can develop car and after the MS years they know its a valuable asset. |
