Sunday night football and NBC, jump the shark
WTF, that's all I need. The NFL and Sunday night football has jumped the shark and is now telling us all about global warming. The studio lights are off, they're burning candles (polluting candles) amd Al Roker is in the rain forest. Idiots.
Why can't it just be about the game? Not the special intertest story, not about some player's home town, not about anything except the game. Now this. Too many freaking morons on this planet, maybe their global warming will cull the herd. |

Yea I just saw the same crap. Lights out, "green" messages all around the studio, candles, etc. What the hell is going on. Some agenda has to be focused on and now its the AlGore s**t. It will not end until what? I'm not watching NBC football at all, just turning channels, but its bad.

I was switching between the game and the drag races, now it's just the drag races. I wonder if I can lock out NBC on my TV's?
Time to write a few letters. |

Hilarious!
Shutting off some of the backlights makes a difference. Nevermind the cameras, sound equipment, broadcast equipment...

Let them know how you feel:
feedback@nbcsports.com I did. Best, Kurt ![]() edit: My email to that address above just bounced! The feedback address is directly from the NBC Sports page. Guess they shut off their "feedback" mail servers as well. ![]() Last edited by kstar; 11-04-2007 at 06:48 PM.. |

I sent em a little love note too, it bounced. My guess is that after about a gazillion of complaints their server locked up.

It was pathetic, I agree. Who was the target demo for this self-congratulatory publicity stunt? Not the real eco-freaks, who will only point out that this was a drop in the ocean; not any football fans just interested in football and not the sappy backstory/"what value can we add so people will know we're great 'angle'". Who?
Dumb. dumb. dumb. Did they pull this idea out of the "Break Glass in Case of A Writer's Strike" case? JP

Yeah, let's see, when ESPN came to the Ralph in Buffalo for the Dallas - Buffalo game for Monday Night Football, they came with 7 trailers of studios and stuff, miles of cable, cameras and lights up the yingyang(not to mention what is already there to light up the sky). NBC has all the same stuff, not to mention the energy it takes to just get the crew into town(any town)! What a load. Oh yeah, and on any given Sunday, 80,000 fans driving their non-hybrid SUVs and diesel buses..
