Prosperity Gospel

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 2).

"Yet for your sakes he became poor, that you by his poverty might become rich" (2 Corinthians 8:9).

I need to 'plant some seeds'. Does God take Paypal? Or do I go through an intermediary? Please advise.

God also said that it will be easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god.
He said something about how man can't worship money and him too, it's one or the other.
A truly rich man has no wealth, but has faith in God.
These aren't word for word, their just off the top of my head.
There are many more verses that denounce the pursuit of earthly.

Bottom line is, greed and covetting earthly wealth is contradictory to what God has instructed.

If Gawd hates wealth so much, why do all his churches constantly feel the need to hit us up for money?

The money given to churches is supposed to be for supporting hte church to keep it's doors open, and to help the needy. My church does that, but I can think of others who are simply money grabbers.
There was a good story in the bible that tells about the time Jesus went to the temple and chastized all the high priests for their riches while the poor sat on their doorsteps and were not allowed into the temple. That started the priests to conspire against him and eventually lead to his death. He threatened their income.
Jesus did not like churches or temples that worshipped money and gold and made that clear many times.

Televangelists IMO are the ultimate sinners, they steal in God's name.
