I remember when I was 5 and couldn't sleep. Went downstairs at 1AM (as my mom told me) and started watching The Day the Earth Stood Still.
She woke up maybe 3/4 of the way through and hauled a very wide-eyed kid to bed. What an amazing movie! hope he doesn't screw it up, at least he has the monotone thing down.

There's casting for you! I remember him in Much Ado About Nothing as Don John -- it was great b/c at first I though "no hway. Keanu doing Shakespeare" But it was BRILLIANT b/c Don John is the most vapid, 2-dimensional character/villain in Shakespeare's catalog. Pure genius casting. JP

I know the director of "The Night Watchman" and we got to check out production stills for the movie earlier this year. He says it's going to remake Keanu's career. Time will tell...

In manufacturing it's standard procedure to identify the rotating equipment that is not as relaible as it should be and to develop a plan to make improvements. They call this a "bad actor" plan for some reason.
A few years ago we started this program and identified and flagged our bad actor pumps. Sure enough, some funny guy went around and named them. I can't remember them all but one was Steven Segal, one was Anson williams, and one was Keanu Reeves. |

So...a re-make of 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'?
Hollywood still struggles for new material? Writers on strike? **Yawn** It (remake) should fit right in with the current 'PC' crowd. Visitor comes to earth to tell us how if we do not stop starting wars... THEY will destroy us! The galaxy DEMANDS peace. (Thanks G.W. ... for the invasion!)

Paparazzi? IMHO they should be run over if they are within 20' of a motor vehicle.

What a shock. Paparazzi moonlighting as a "slip/fall" artist. They redefine scummy. Too bad Keanu wasn't drunk and driving a Hummer. Maybe he could have dealt out some real injuries.

Wow. Keanu drives the same year of 911 as me? And we're both Canadian? Does that mean I should start running down all those paparazzi too?

Hell, that's why the guy has a ton in insurance (I would hope). They will settle and this and it will go away. However, I didn't post to say the obvious.
In the world of paparazzi, there are brokers and direct buyers. So, KR's PR guy puts out the word that he will "allow" some shots if the brokers and direct buyers do a little co-operating. So, he is blacklisted. A brazen Brazilian goes home with nothing but a few bucks for the next 5 years he will spend getting his money. At least that's how I'd handle the situation. Frankly, if I were famous like these guys, I think I'd give them all one day a month to shoot a million frames. I'd let the jerks follow me into the head. I'd eat a worm or something at a restaurant. I'd surf in shorts and let the bozos shoot my shrunken wang. I'd go have a picnic lunch with the homeless. All publicized BEFORE. Who gives a rat's ass? Maybe the abundance of so much material would make the shots not worth the time. Fight fire with fire? |
