"Sunshine Towing"?

On my drive to work this morning, I saw this.

It got me thinking, is there any reason for a tow-truck company to have a light-hearted name?

Seems a bit misguided to me. Nobody is happy about the presence of a tow truck.

Better names might be:

"Haha Towing Company"
or
"River of Tears Towing"
or
"Walk to Work Wrecker Service"

I dunno- it would be like "Happy Bunny Morticians" or "Giggles Injury Attorney Services"

I know a couple of tow truck drivers. I don't associate with them but i see them around from time to time. I know they both have extensive criminal records and have drug and alcohol problems.
I needed a tow many years ago, the guy who showed up could barely talk because his jaw was locked up and he was too busy grinding his teeth.
No, not all truck drivers are like them, but that career tends to attract this sort.

If they made it manditory for all truck drivers to pass periodic drug tests the unemployment lines would get longer.

When the tow truck guy showed up to haul off the carcass of my post-fire 951, the cops on-scene and I were actually laughing about how the guy reinforced all stereotypes about tow truck drivers. I swear this dude had a fractured skull - you could see misshapen form to the shape of his head and the protruding brow & 90-degree square jaw just capped it off. I swear he looked like Lurch from the Adams Family, just more beat up, if that's possible. I should have thought to get a picture. It made the whole experience all the more surreal.
