Justice is served....FLA style!

Unfortunately, the judge, jury & executioner (read: alligator) was later destroyed by Fish & Game

Poncho, a Mexican alligator, here illegally has been executed. His rights have been violated.

What do you bet that will be the headlines today??

Gator is delicious. Tastes like chicken.

[I've been told people taste kind of like ham; sailors had a term for it: "long pork"]

Hey Danny, consider me "in" for the ride down to Key Largo next month.

Yes, I've had gator. Tastes like salty chicken.

I may not make it to Key Largo...still waiting for parts.

Unfortunately, the policy of Fish & Game here is to kill any alligator that attacks people. 99.9% of gators will run when confronted by a human (unless you are near their nest or corner them). Gators such as this one are contained in retention ponds (sometimes as attractions). The problem arises when people start to feed them and the gators lose their fear of humans. So, Fish & Game destroys the "fearless" ones to prevent future attacks.

I disagree with the policy. If you're stupid enough to enter gator-infested waters, you're not smart enough to survive in this world.

Worse still, the idiots will feed the gators, get attacked and then turn around and sue the property owner for a few million bucks, which our legal system will reward. It's just another example of how we're "devolving" as a species - selecting for the weaker/stupider members of our species instead of the smarter/stronger ones like Darwinism would normally have us do. . .

The same scenario with the gators is true of bears in National Parks. The idiots feed the bears (either directly or by leaving food out in campsites, cars, etc.) so the bears come to associate humans with food. They become "aggressive" and the bear usually ends up with a bullet in the head and a trip to the dump.

If the alligator were to consume a corpse not of the alligator's making. Finding a dead body, for example. It would still get "the taste for" human meat, without having been the instrument of the human's demise.

Oh, well...the dead idiots family is sheet-out-of-luck in this instance. The incident happened on Indian Tribal Land (Miccosukee). They are a sovereign nation...lawsuits don't stick.
