NASCAR for sale?

I’ve been tracking this one on another forum. Reports indicate that if this is true, the most likely buyer of NASCAR would be CVC Capital Partners, the European private equity firm that owns the Formula One Group. It is possible that this one has some legs.

If Bernie is involved, it's all over for NASCAR.

According to Grandprix.com, CVC Capital Partners - which already owns F1 and the GP2 series and indirectly controls MotoGP through another company - is negotiating to buy NASCAR.

F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is said to be involved as well.

No, it would be all over for F1. He has been modeling it more and more after NASCAR for years.
