Brace yourselves...

Well, the forecast for tonight through Sunday calls for a deluge worthy to float Noah's Ark. Special thanks to Washington and Oregon for sending down the jet stream to allow us this opportunity to drown ourselves. :D

Seriously, beginning tonight, things are supposed to get ugly here in So. Cali. Hope everyone fairs well. SmileWavy

Geez, didn't So. Cali. just finish burning to a crisp, and now the water you needed then is coming in massive flooding form.

:( Oh man, you got to say it before I did.

The burn areas will get Effed if this storm dumps 3 inches as predicted.

The rest of us? The problem is that if you are from here you think 1/2 inch is a deluge and drive like an old lady.

If you're not from here you're cocky and out to prove it and drive with no change from your dry weather driving (or going even faster!) and those two kinds of drivers are a very poor combination.

Waiting for obligatory picture of chair blown over on patio, next to pool...

I'm watching it sleet.

I have proof that the rain in S. Cal. has hallucinogenic properties!

I beg your pardon! :D

svandamme 12-06-2007 04:02 PM

it's been wet here today as well,
miserable wet pussy came through the cat flap
winds are pretty decent at the moment, not good enough, i want a good 10-11 beaufort North Sea North Western storm , it's been a long time since we had a good one

In a lesser storm last winter my Porsche awning (pictured belwo) took off and decided to leave on its own. Meaning it got airborn and blew into the next door neighbor's yard. Incredibly, the Porsches were untouched. Couldn't happen again in a million tries!

For those of you in the Midwest and East this registers as a biblical proportion storm in SoCal. In your world you'd say, "Honey, is it supposed to sprinkle today?"

3 inches or rain? I can piss more than 3 inches.

Porsche-O-Phile 12-06-2007 04:41 PM

It never rains here.

I didn't just get done washing & waxing the car, so of course it won't rain.

You'll probably be okay, Campbell is way north of here. It's a great class, good lunches also.
