Another Santa story.

My daughter is ten. Last year she decided there's no Santa. Yet this year she wrote a note to Santa anyway. I asked her why she wrote the note, if she does not believe Santa is real. Her answer?

"Just in case I'm wrong..."

Analogous to a lot of people's religious beliefs.

I use to tell my kids at that age, "if you dont believe, then I guess he won't come?"

They'd always say, "Oh, we believe Dad"
