Anybody know a good realtor in the Columbus Indiana area?

I will be traveling to Columbus Indiana for a job interview and would like to tour the area and look at farm houses on the market. Does anybody have a lead on a good realtor in Columbus Indiana?

Speedy

Not sure if she works Columbus but she is in Greenwood so maybe. Her name is Mary Jo Brown with Carpenter and she sold our house when we left Indy for Cincy and we were very happy with her. Her office number 317-881-8100. Tell her Mark Noriega referred her she still keeps in touch after nearly 4 years.

I called Mary Jo Brown and she referred me to Nick Woodridge who handles the Columbus area. He is putting together some properties which fit my criteria.

Would you recommend areas to live in? Areas to stay away from?

Looking for a small farm within 30 min drive of Columbus.
No crime
Good schools

Thanks,
Speedy

Actually, there is nowhere within 30+ miles that I would say stay away from. The whole area is a nice, quiet, rural area. I would stay north if possible to get you closer to Indy because that's the closest place to a "nightlife" you'll find. Greenwood, Whiteland, and Franklin are all nice towns that will be the 'bigger"ones besides Columbus though they are pretty small by comparison. If I had to pick an area I would get something in the Franklin area. The Greenwood schools are very good but that will push your 30 mile limit depending on where you are buying. Greenwood isn't very rural though. It feels like part of Indy. I'm just North of Greenwood. Bargersville might get you into the Greenwood school district and is pretty rural. East and West will put you in no man's land. You'll have to drive into a town along I65 to go shopping and such. If you Google the area you'll see that between I70 and I74 it creates an inverted "V". I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anywhere in that whole area (except Martinsville... very redneck and KKK undertones), just remember that the farther away from the interstate the more rural you get.
