Hemi V8. From Allpar.com:

that blew 2,610 cubic feet of air per minute into a siren rotor, where it was sent out through six horns at around 400 mph, produced 170 decibels at the siren’s throat. The unit was designed to rotate at around 1.5 rpm on its base, with a range of 30-50 miles and a 70 dB signal for two miles.

My DD Murano got totaled last month on Friday the 13th. I got an 04 X5 3.0 from my mechanic. Added Eibach sports springs and Bilstein HDs. The ride got kind of rough. lol

Then I stuck the stockers from my 535i on the X5. Needs taller tires.

Totalcar Magazine - Features - Believe it or not, a sports car made in China

Quote:
The Event Concept, a fully electric two-door, low silhouette sports car was made by a small Chinese design studio, CH Auto......................

The use of the electric drive chain is less surprising; not only because it is in keeping with the concept car trend, but also because China has made greater progress in developing electric cars than ones with internal combustion engines..................

The 400 PS electric motor with a torque of 650 Nm is powered by a 41.1 kWh Li-ion battery pack. The large battery makes the vehicle quite heavy, though: its curb weight is 1.685 tons, yet it does 0-100 km/h under 5 seconds and it has an electronically capped top speed of 200 km/h. Some data are even less impressive: the battery provides a range of up to 200 km and recharging the batteries takes 6 hours using a normal 220V socket.

I agree, but maybe they don't think so.

Helps explain why GM's Buick brand has always done so well in China.

As I understand it the Transformer movies made most of their money in China, they love that stuff.

Why China Loves Transformers (And Why We Should All Be A Little Worried)

China's changed faster than an Autobot since the 80s, and while there's not much looking back on those rough years, Transformers is a perfect nostalgia trip...........

But the Transformers craze in China is more than meets the eye. Underneath the hood -- no, right on top of it -- the movie is the biggest car ad the world has ever seen. And China is well on the road to becoming the world's biggest car market, thanks in no small part to Transformers-partner GM. The message of the movie, especially at its final scene (which totally resembles a 30-second spot, btw) is one that speaks loud and clear to its car-hungry audience in China: cars are not just symbols of personal freedom, they exist to protect us, and can even save the world.

The Chinese also financed it, and lots of our latest blockbuster movies.
