Wow, a lot of engineering went into this rig, twin front mounted VW engines running together.

Don't wish too much too be me, David. one more month and I'm back in the fl panhandle at the height of hurricane season.

Can you identify these UFOs from 1960s TV shows?

Just Don’t Call Them UFOs
The U.S. military wants pilots to report strange sightings in the sky, but doesn’t want any of the stigma that comes with it.

Pilots are about to receive a new memo from management: If you encounter an unidentified flying object while on the job, please tell us.

The U.S. Navy is drafting new rules for reporting such sightings, according to a recent story from Politico. Apparently, enough incidents have occurred in “various military-controlled ranges and designated airspace” in recent years to prompt military officials to establish a formal system to collect and analyze the unexplained phenomena. Members of Congress and their staffs have even started asking about the claims, and Navy officials and pilots have responded with formal briefings.............................

“Nobody wants to be ‘the alien guy’ in the national-security bureaucracy,” Mellon wrote in a Post op-ed last year. “Nobody wants to be ridiculed or sidelined for drawing attention to the issue.”

^^^ I don't understand the 2 fans on top. Are they electric? Doesn't matter really cause they don't do much of anything.

Twin 2.3L "built" motors, and he apparently keeps them cool enough:

This belongs to a U-2 driver at Beale AFB that now works for NASA. He ran at Reno years ago too.

Nice one Baz. Your rig

Picked up in Dec of 2017, as a possible solution to my insane gas expenditures on a monthly basis in my 95 GMC K1500, requiring a fill every 2.5 trips to work.

My bushokie math has calculated a savings of $9200 in gas if the same mileage is calculated in the truck.

Not a sports car but it does what it’s designed to do very well. Is still zippy though

Sporting new shoes from America Tires Fourth of July sale. Win win

Kinda nice to see the distance covered by a few gallons of gas, where my old daily driver that gets 12 mpg doing the same distance would have used 47 gallons, at CA prices.
