^^^ that last pic of the 70's movie "The Car" spawned a full build copy by an average joe that was shown on one the TV car build shows awhile back. I cannot remember the TV show's name but the joint was out of Canada, called 'The Guild". Problem was 'Joe' only had @$40K to do it, which of course was no money. So somehow the service manager convinced him it could be done with some sweat-equity on his part. But in the end the guy spent another $10-15K and received a half-finished 'car'

Guy ordered this about 2 years ago through Ferrari’s “Tailor Made” program, where to create a theme. I think it was an 812 GT- the last of the V12s. The special paint was $34,000 alone, as it had to come off the line and be done by hand. The whole thing was around $600K.
