1963 Mercury Cougar II prototype...270hp V-8, 4 speed manual. Was moving closer to production when Ford launched the original Mustang, which exceeded all sales expectations, so most efforts on launching other cars were cancelled. Too bad; might have given the Corvette a run for its money.

Always thought I’d like to have a 1930s vintage business coupe like the one under the “Cafe” signs or the ‘37 Ford in the foreground just because I like their looks.
