1906, Paul Sartori in/on A. G. Vanderbilt’s 250-hp car. Sartori drove for A. G. Vanderbilt in the early road races
sponsored by his cousin, William Vanderbilt.

- "During the autumn of 1905 Alfred Vanderbilt spent $19,000 for a 250-horse power auto-mobile, the highest-powered car in the world." The special was built in Vanderbilt's garage at 335 West 39th Street by Paul Sartori and the French engineer François Richard. It followed the lines of Bowden's Flying Dutchman. A stretched chain-drive frame was powered by two
F.I.A.T. 10.5-liter T-head (150 x 150 mm) engines in tandem, . Sartori and Richard
earned a salary and made heavy commissions on all the material purchased for the racer."
