I built this little 600hp tug for my father along with 3-4 barges 25 years or so ago. we sometimes used it as a party barge on weekends it wasn't working. nothing like drunk driving on the water with a bigger boat than all the skiers

That's not a real McLaren Can Am machined crashed into the side of the road, is it? What's the story behind this picture?

Random Transportation pic..

found some pictures of my first and second Porsche from way back in 82.
semi-Porsche. not only did I have the only sportscars in town, I had two Porsches. not bad living in a town where most people didn't know what a Porsche was. you can barely make out my Fiat Spyder in the background. the only bright yellow foreign sportscar in a small town so everyone knew where I was at all times. wasn't very low profile considering my occupation at the time.

RE: the McLaren.
Can't tell you if the car is authentic but that little dity occured at Road America a few years ago. Those are all my pics. Reportedly, the fellow covered in muck was near the tail of the traditional evening parade into Elkhart Lake following the Brian Redman vintage challenge when the throttle stuck. He also had a teen (son?) riding w/ him. Both were fortunate to have not been killed. The fellow (Johan?) who was first in to rescue the pictured guy claimed that he asked if the driver was OK. The driver affirmed that he was intact and Johan replied "good". The next thing the driver said was along the lines of "it's not my car" to which Johan said "Even better!!".

Road America has seen some pretty ugly vintage carnage of late. Not my pic below.

Thanks for the pics of the GTV - I wish they'd build something half as beautiful today...

How about Wrestlers using a bus for protest?

The Univ. of Oregon wants to get rid of its wrestling team. Famous Merry Prankster and author Ken Kesey is the most illustrious UO wrestling team alumnus (and used to coach wrestling at a local high school too). There just happens to be a famous bus on his farm (that his kids inherited).

So....

this makes sense only in Eugene, of course.
