The car tent provides a solution to camping out for an event (parade for example) and is also highly portable and versatile in its applications. Sure, it doesn’t look much like a car, but it isn’t supposed to: instead, it mimics a car cover which is far more plausible so long as it doesn’t get rear-ended.

This thing was parked in a driveway a half block from my house a while back;
it's even more wierd in person than in the picture.
