Yes it appears to be a turbo, wastegate and add'l oil pump on the pic of the engine.

All good suggestions in my opinion. I’d deviate a little by removing the ZG flares and fitting a g-nose (with chromed-trimmed headlight covers).

It was a suicide attempt after he was found to have sexually abused his 3 daughters. Glad he lived, suicide would have been the easy way out.
