That's an interesting treatment. Objectively, I think it should be attractive, but something about it to me says it's a less convincing take on an E-Type or long nose Ferrari 275 GTB.

Malcom Sayer designed the E-Type. The Nissan team of Hara and Matsuo designed the 240Z with some input from Count Albrecht Goertz

Some time ago, fresh out of college, I was walking along Woodward Ave. on the night before the annual Dream Cruise. The cruising for the night was starting to fade out when out of a pack of cars came this british racing green 240z with 15" panasports, a g-nose, and a tremendous sounding exhaust. E-type or 275 was the furthest thing from my mind...that was simply a badass 240z.

Of course the way things happen, I bought an MR2 a couple months later only to find the same 240z come on to market. Talk about bad timing....

Fair 'nuff. This damn thread has me shopping for a 240Z now. I've never owned a Japanese car, but short of an old (or new) Skyline and a 2000GT, a Z might do the trick. Oh the noise!!

Something like this, I'm thinking
