Don't know about that.....but yes it was FUGLY, it was a conversion not a pupose built Aircraft Carrier.

It was the first CV built and the first CV sunk by enemy attack.

I could be mistaken here, but this photo shows a left hand swastika as opposed to the right hand Hindu good luck symbol.

Nazi's were not in power in 1927 let alone know as anything but a socialist labor movement. Its amazing what this symbol elicits emotionally, but you have to take account of the time line and the previous understanding of this symbol. It was not a Nazi original.

I KNOW that. 'Dolf came to power in '33 as the Chancellor. In '23 he was in Jail, '25 Mien Kampf was printed and the swastika was being used. By 27 he was warming up with the Nuremberg Rallies....
