Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

turbines are incredibly simple engines, very little mystery there. A piston engine is by far the more complicated beast!

I get it but the way air is continuously compressed, fueled, ignited then harnessed and expelled without interruption is remarkable to me...too cool to be true amazement even with the fuel inefficiency.

My dad was an instructor in the navy, after he retired the people he went to work for would just listen to him like little kids with their mouths open, he could take the most complicated ideas and make them so anyone could understand. To say the least my science projects in school were impressive .
