The Texas rotary cultists enthusiasts are favorites among LeMons organizers for their shadetree solutions to things that weren’t really problems to begin with. They first used the exhaust of their obnoxiously loud (by design) second-generation Mazda RX-7 to smoke meat during races, then upped the ante by turning the exhaust into the world’s sketchiest moonshine still. They followed that up with a barn-find Mazda RX-2, where “barn find” means “An entire barn has crashed down on this hooptie.” That car won an Index of Effluency but was totaled in its next race. Sensory Assault’s piece de resistance, however, was a flame-broiled third-generation RX-7, which was powered by a supremely cheaty bridge-ported and turbocharged rotary engine that made well over 300 horsepower and earned them 2,000,000,007 penalty laps.

UNESCO joins Energy Observer, the first hydrogen ship

Quote:
Energy Observer will count with UNESCO’s support as it carries out its mission, to promote renewable energies and raise awareness of energy transition challenges. As it sails across the world during six years without a drop of fossil fuel, with 101 stops planned between 2017 and 2022 in the world's maritime capitals, historic ports, nature reserves or at major international events, the first zero carbon footprint ship will have the institution onboard..................

Powered by renewable energies and hydrogen using this energy mix, Energy Observer will leave its home port of Saint-Malo in the spring and later set off from Paris for an unprecedented odyssey around the world to test energy transition solutions in real conditions, while raising awareness and promoting education for sustainable development.
More here, but it's in French.

http://www.energy-observer.org/#home

Nice images though.

Vega Electric Supercar in Sri Lanka: Colombo based tech firm builds 900HP electric Supercar named Vega
Vega Electric Supercar in Sri Lanka: Colombo based tech firm builds 900HP electric Supercar named Vega | Latest Car News & Live Updates at OnCars.in

Quote:
As for the car itself, the Vega sports dual electric motors under the hood powering the rear wheels. The motor produces 900 PS of power and 720Nmof torque is capable of doing the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.5 seconds. The car has a top speed of somewhere around 250km/h, and can reportedly travel 250kms on a single charge. The whole car weighs at just 1360 kilos, which may not sound like much by supercar standards, but is still commendable considering the bank of lithium-ion batteries onboard.
