USAF crew nickname for the C-119 was "Dollar Nineteen." Apparently $1.19 was a popular price for smaller items back in the old days.

(The flying plane was a totally different plane modified by Mantz to look sort of like the static plane.) There were several early tractors - where the engines were started with shotgun shells. I know that one manufacturer was German .........
