Never heard of a Bitter CD until now. I always thought the SC's were cool.

Mine was a 74. 1.9, 4 speed with black interior. am radio and a cassette deck that I added. I also added wider tires and stiff shocks and a bigger cam. Such a simple car can no longer be sold. Crank windows, manual locks, non power steering, no air. I search ebay for one from time to time, just in case..............

I wanted a mini Vette bad but ended up going with a real Vette eventually.

FAB WHEELS DIGEST (F.W.D.): 1970 Gilbern T11 Concept

Quote:
1970 Gilbern T11 Concept
Created as a one-off concept car in 1971 by Gilbern, Wales only sports car manufacturer, the T11 Prototype was to be the companies new two seat sports car. With a striking body by British designer Trevor Fiore (of TVR Trident, Alpine A310 and Montiverdi 450 Hai fame), the T11 promised a great deal. But the project was canceled and the prototype abandoned. Gilbern then went bankrupt in 1973. Owner Gordon Johnston spent nearly 10 years restoring the forgotten prototype.

The car originally had a tuned BMC Austin Maxi 1.5-litre 75 bhp engine, but due to an accident in 2011 (damaging the driveshafts and the gearbox differential) a 200 bhp 2.0-litre Mk 2 Toyota MR2 engine was fitted. Maxi 5-speed manual all-synchromesh transmission. (facebook.com & modifiedcars.com)

This is supposed to be a girl free thread, not that we are sexists, just trying to make this work friendly.

2019 Volkswagen Arteon revealed for North America
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/2019-volkswagen-arteon-revealed-north-161900502.html

Quote:
Volkswagen is gearing up for the flagship Arteon's U.S.-market release. The replacement for the swoopily styled CC saloon, the sharper Arteon is positioned to go a touch more upmarket, even if isn't reaching towards the sumptuous heights where the Phaeton once resided. The Arteon was unveiled for Europe a year ago in Geneva, and the time has now come for the saloon to make it westwards as a 2019 model.
The only engines available for the Arteon anywhere are four-cylinder affairs, and the most powerful iteration of the 2.0 TSI is the sole option for American Arteons, offering 268 horsepower in American spec. An eight-speed automatic is standard on the Arteon, but it can be ordered with 4Motion all-wheel-drive if required.
