The car is $12k AUD, and has covered just over 100,000 miles.

I've heard on good authority that the suspension systems in these cars can be expensive to repair. As for the stereo, the facia doesn't have any Nak (Nakajima?) branding on it ....

The SC400's the muscle car of the two; the SC300's the handler.

Kinda like a big block Cobra and a small block cobra. Personal preference, but I'd have more fun with the 389 small block through the twisties than I would with the 427 big block down a dragstrip.

The Nakamichi/Bose stereo (I'm usually not a Bose fan at ALL, except for car stuff) option was about a 2500 option, and might have been the best car stereo I've ever had...10 (or was it 12) cd changer in the trunk and strategically placed speakers made for a great "stereo commute". A stealership would kill ya on repair bills, but I had an independent specialist who wasn't bad at all. Parts/repairs are relative...certainly not cheap on a Lexus, but look at what we drive . At 100K, make sure the timing belt AND water pump have been replaced or adjust price accordingly imo. I have no idea about the price, but like always, condition is everything. My old SC has around 150K mile on her now, and still looks great.

I considered my SC to be a luxury cruiser...plenty of power but the suspension was too soft for sports car perfromance. My dad thought "it" was a go-kart compared to his LS at the time (it was sort of), but the 911 changed his mind for sure .

The new stereos are Marl Levinson. Take Bose & multiply it X your social security number.

My cous has one for sale. Car has been pretty good through the years... but he is selling cause its getting old and he doesnt want something that feels that heavy any more.

Car is very luxurious and smooth ride. Must guzzle petrol for a daily driver...
