Now if they can rid us of those demonic steroids, we'll again be the greatest nation on earth.

4.6 % of the world's population & 22% of the prisoners. If we can get it to about 50%, this place will be a paradise!http://www.getsmileyface.com/sm/crazy/1087.gif

Mule, you're scaring people. By making sense for a change.
In answer to your question, yes. The war on drugs is making a difference. It is maintaining the current distribution system as an illicit, tax-free industry and it is keeping the price of drugs at a level that ensures good profitability. |

Actually I agree with all of you.
By far my biggest peeve with our government. I think second is the inane driver's licensing requirements, traffic laws and cameras. If I didn't have a security clearance I would probably still be firing up the bong. At least occasionally. |
What about "sobriety checkpoints?" You papers are in order. You may proceed!http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...es/weed/14.gif

The "War on Drugs" has been a very effective tool in dismantling the Bill of Rights.

I thought that the "war on drugs" ended in the eighties. I mean after Mr 'Bud I di'int inhale' got elected, it was at most a small occupation on drugs.

Give or take a few trillion $$$$$$
"In 2003 the United States spent a record $185 billion for police protection, corrections, and judicial and legal activities. Expenditures for operating the Nation's justice system increased from almost $36 billion in 1982 to over $185 billion in 2003, an increase of 418%" Source: Hughes, Kristen A., "Justice Expenditure and Employment in the United States, 2003" (Washington, DC: US Dept. of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics, April 2006), NCJ212260, p. 2. |
