Is this like a feel good Amway?

Mule 03-16-2008 08:15 AM

Sounds kind of Werner Earhard ish.

Your suspicions are correct (in my opinion).

A whole bunch of my brother's friends got him going on it. A couple thousand dollars later, and all he got out of it was a bunch of annoyed family members that had to listen to his recruiting efforts for a couple years! Fortunately, he has come to his senses.

The thing I found funny, is that I've never met a forum attendee (or faculty member for that matter) that could articulate what any of it is about! All of my inquiries lead to the suggestion that I go to one of their "Introductions". This is basically a recruitment drive.

To be fair, it might benfit people with a deficient sense of self worth in the short term, by giving them something "bigger" to be a part of (much like any other cult). But this comes with a hefty price tag (I think workshops range from $300 to $1200... a lot of Porsche parts!). For stronger personalities, it comes accross as just plain stupid.

Had a family member who was talking this up for a while. She ended up losing a bit of money and finally came to her senses.

It smells fishy to me...

But did bro."L. Ron" approve of this one?

lfot 03-16-2008 02:59 PM

A co-worker of mine had a close friend that basically "disappeared" in this organization. Meaning, emotionally and financially.

It's a lot like Scientology, but without the cult worship and the moron actors endorsing it.

I took their courses and doubled my personal productivity. I'm now up to ~12% of my potential. :)

I went to a "recruitment" seminar, for lack of a better term. It was given by a tall, smoking hot, extremely well spoken red head whose voids I was very interested in.

Looks like an attempt to separte me from my money.
