I may be as eccentric as I thought but I'm clearly not unique. For a Porsche list we all seem to end up with the same cars.

FJ40 with a 350 Chevy and the Mini with a Honda engine and thankfully today AC:

A man after my own heart

I've been looking at FJ-40's for a few years, nothing serious...I'll start in earnest next spring. I'm going to send you a PM about the Chevy conversion. That, and you really need a/c in the summer here in Maryland

Take a look at this one. Is it priced reasonably? Seems a bit high but its looks darn near perfect. I'm out of touch for that market but it looks VERY nice. I know the dealer somewhat. Bought a Volvo 850 from him a few years ago. He's fair and stands behind his sales.

my bet is that if we compared the vehicles we'd LIKE to have & not just the ones we DO have - it would be an even closer match

e.g. I've always wanted an FJ40 and an old Dodge Power Wagon, but I've never had one - could never make a case to.

That color is know as "Golf". It is a pretty cool color. Here is one slightly modified with flared fenders.

These colors sure stand out in a world filled with a sea of subtle metallic colors.

When I saw it, the new owner was driving it down the California coast to LA to have it shipped back home (Midwest I believe). Here is the "blog" of the building of the car http://my73tii.blogspot.com/

Interesting looking 2002 for sale.

I have no connection, additional information, etc. etc.

That should give Paul something to think about.
