Well, whaddya know. She actually did it (finally). Well I guess I can't complain about her not being able to win a race anymore.:(

Tony George is on a lucky streak. The good fortune of Graham Rahal a few weeks ago, and now Danica.

Congrats to the young lady. Wins are tough to get in any type of racing.

Good for her! I've always told my daughter to control the boys, don't let the boys control you.

Noah930 04-19-2008 11:19 PM

Congrats. Now people can shaddup about her not winning anything. She's a lot better than all the naysayers whine about.

Ahmmm. If the ladies do not have enough control as it is, with at least 70% of the money and 100% of the snatch, then I am really missing something! :)

I don't see how 1 win changes anything. A nice achievement, but not any sort of real vindication.

If she wins 4 or 5, i think then everyone will be forced to STFU and admit they were wrong. One is just too easy for cynics to play off as a fluke.

lol...

widgeon13 04-20-2008 04:04 AM

I think the boys just let her have one to get her out of the limelight.

Yeah, Helio just said WTF, let her have one!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...artysmiley.gif

sniper,
can you say anything positive or is your world only negative? From the US legal system to Danica.

Mo_Gearhead 04-20-2008 05:16 AM

I prefer her OUT of the driving suit!

Love the driving gloves however!

widgeon13 04-20-2008 06:21 AM

I would bet that a lots of folks here (male or female) would not even consider driving at a fraction of the speed they drive. I give her a lot of credit for playing in the boys sandbox.

Porsche-O-Phile 04-20-2008 06:54 AM

Girl's got skills.

Personally I'm just glad they ran the race. Word yesterday was that Motegi might be rained out and if so, it would mean that today's race here in LGB wouldn't count for any points, which would suck.

ALMS yesterday was great, BTW.

after watching first hand one of our compadre-ettes smack the ******* WALL HEADON at 150MPH PLUS at calif mtr speedway(turn 2) in her 1997 996...................i hand it to anyone that gets behind the wheel and PINS THE MUTHA ******* SNOT OUT OF ANY KIND OF CAR!

right on danica!

what this world needs is MORE GOOD LOOKING WOMEN RACING!

David 04-20-2008 07:32 AM

Great! Now my wife is pissed at me because we missed the race. Was it televised?

She is a very credible driver, most of the men in the series would love to have her results, i.e., number of top 5 finishes, top 10 finishes, number of pole positions and now a win. She's a very solid driver.

ESPN had the coverage.

HardDrive 04-20-2008 09:07 AM

Good on her.

Her posing for sexy photos, or course, makes everyone call here a media fluke. But it take some brass nuts to climb into one of those cars and drive.

I hope she racks up more wins......and poses in Playboy. :)

KevinP73 04-20-2008 09:18 AM

Hey even a blind squirrel finds the occasional acorn and a broken clock is right at least once a day. If ONE win makes her a heroin ........

Wickd89 04-20-2008 09:24 AM

One race does make a difference. It always has.

I always hate it when someone becomes a celebrity without actually doing anything worth noting; in any sport...

Be it tennis, golf, etc..

Looks like it'll be on TNT tomorrow morning so I'll DVR it.

I showed the video of the win to my wife and she shed a tear or two. Maybe I can get her on the track this year :D .
