irony
the Netherlands, today
Technical University Delft, department constructional engineering water pipe broke shorted some electrical coffee maker one floor below 9h30 fire 185 firemen not able to control the fire building collapsed no casualties http://www.dumpert.nl/mediabase/105731/46ccb8cd/bouwkunde_gebouw_delft_stort_in.html no wonder that they have all sorts of building issues in the Netherlands like newly built apartments where owners are told after 6 months, that they should not use the balcony "cause it might fall off" or newly built parking lot's in mall's, that have to be closed because pillars look like they might give way any time... on the upside, they won't have to pay anybody to design and build a new place for them... they can do it themselves! maybe they can use that for graduation thesis, as most their work went up in flames... and i guess they can focus on fire prevention, retardants and suppression in public buildings |
Damn potheads :)!

They do have building codes over there, right?
Not to mention professional designers? |
Quote:
you know, the folks that learn about these things, so they can build stuff all around the country, and advise about how building codes should be setup! |
