Hotel - Remember to lock your door!
I checked into a hotel this week and it was pretty late when I arrived, around 1AM. I checked in, got my card key and headed to my room. I opened the door to my room and proceeded to walk in with my luggage when I saw a woman laying in the bed! She popped up in surprise and I was a deer in headlights. I apologized and walked out of the room. The front desk was surprised that it happened, but then said they lost power earlier in the night which may have messed things up.

Back to reality, don't leave money/valuables in the room. Two trips this year, Atlanta & New Orleans, both mainstream hotels, multiple people our group had money missing after the rooms were 'cleaned'. In NO, they went through my briefcase, and removed cash from an envelope.
