Is it just me, or does that vette have a solid rear? Where'd the IRS go? That's horrible.

The bug is cool with matching green surfboard.

this was 'cruisin' weekend in OC. 99.9999999% 500hp domestics. i'm guessing the VW guy was lost. the only thing i didn't like about it was the headlights had chrome hoods on top which, i thought, was a bit much. i wanted to ask about it but the couple driving didn't appear terribly friendly even though i kept hanging out of my truck shooting pics.

if you're into the hot-rod scene this event draws a LOT of cars and the quality just keeps getting better. absolutely stunning work on many of the cars i looked at.

That's not a Cal Look bug. It still has the wind wings. That's the first thing you do, put in a new, bigger side glass replacing the vents in the process. Sorry about the Vette.

ahhh, i see!

i never really looked into what 'cal look' really meant; just assumed it was sort of an 'r' version. smooth, low and lots of neg. camber kinda look.

Looks like my wife's old bug with the "tombstone" tailights.

do certain years better lend themselves to this look?

not a fan of gas burners on anything really. otherwise like the car.
