Bible Biscuit Blasphemy?

Quote:
Exodus 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain biscuits from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
I like the quaint, homespun tone of that.

Did you know the name Nabisco is directly derived from National Biscuit Company?

I would guess this name is more closely related to the English meaning of "biscuit".

I don't really care for biscuits. Croissants I can live without as well. But I *really* despise cornbread.

I'd much rather have a really good soudough (eg Colombo from SF), or rosemary/olive oil loaf. No butter. Extra virgin olive oil with freshly ground sea salt floating on the top for dipping.

You ain't from around here are ya? Biscuits & gravy, pintos & cornbread...I don't eat them much anymore but sure do love 'em. BTW, I don't care for any of the above "purchased" at MOST places, but homecooked by a true southerner is another thing entirely .

sorry lads, but the thought of cornbread raises bile in my throat. It goes back to my mom's "cooking." She would sometimes make "tamale pie" (from a box) and cornbread (from a box) and it tasted like the box. Actually the cornbread tasted more like the ink with the consistency of the box. To this day I just can't stomach the stuff. My ex is a great cook and baker, and would make what everyone says is fantastic cornbread. I couldn't even look at it.

hate is a four letter word. So is four. And word. Funny thing that. Oh, that too!
