Is the notion of being able to actually defend yourself vs a dedicated, violent attacker(s) that foreign to you?

The man bag looks pretty gay...they try to make it look not like a purse but it still looks like a purse. I stopped rollerblading for fitness when it became considered "gay"...lol

Why not get one of those athletic bags that soccor players and basketball players use:

Is a fanny pack gay, if you have a 3" 1911 in it?

I guess I don't care...

If some one calls me gay, I'll just shoot them.

Simple enough.

No the gay concealled carry is the "photo vest".

This thing is so "obvious"...definitely in the summer time.

Exactly. Especially when some nebbish-looking pear-shaped white guy has one. Might as well wear a T-shirt that says, "I have a gun and I'm scared to death of this 'walking around in public' thing"...

Kind of defeats the whole *concealed* aspect.

I'm with the *travel light* crowd as far as pockets go, I haven't even carried a wallet for years. I just carry my cash + DL and 1 or 2 other CCs in my front pocket, anything else gets tossed in the car and left there. I have an extra key for the car so that I can leave the larger key ring in the car and carry the single when I get out somewhere. I like my Levis on the loose side for comfort, (wear a belt), I put my blackberry in the back pocket and take it out and put in on the table when I sit down.

Just wear your pants a little on the baggy side, (like if you took your belt off they'd slide down), more stylish IMO and your balls will thank you. That and travel light. The further you've made it in life, the less you have to carry. Like the Otis Chandler story, or Johnny Depp who used to carry a black Amex, cigarettes and the key to his 911. If he quits smoking, he's down to 2 of 3.

thread revival.

i gave up!! the "last straw" was my reading glasses. i keep forgetting them. go into a dimly lit restuarant and i am having my wife read me things she thinks i'll like.

i went with the ubiquitious Timbuk2 bag. bought a new one to replace the 1st model bag the company made. better as an EDC. i wanted a ACRE messenger bag, but it was a mind blowing - 3x the cost. bad ass tho! couldnt justify it if this man-bag-EDC thing doesnt work out.

I have a Timbuktu bag for computer and papers - that's the only time I carry it. For everything else, 5.11 tactical pants are your friend. The front flashlight pocked is perfect for reading glasses. Wallet in the left side pocket, phone in the right side pocket, keys in the front pocket. In a pinch I can carry a small water bottle in the back pocket.
