Wooden Cabinet Organizers Made To Measure?

Does anyone know a source for quality wood kitchen cabinet organizers, which can be semi-custom made to your specified dimensions?

For example, I want pull-out shelves in my lower cabinets, and I do not want those chrome or white wire things that you can buy at Bed Bath.

It would be nice if a company had a couple basic styles (wood color, cabinet depth) and you picked one and specified x inches wide, and they made and sent you a pull-out shelf of that size, with appropriate sliding rail mounts.

This is kind of like how you buy blinds - you specify the material, color, window dimensions, and other options, and the blind company makes them to measure.

Anyone know a company that does this?

Call a local cabinet-maker. They can hook you up.

If you call a local cabinet maker, make sure you spec out the drawer slides. Make sure they don't use any junk or you will be very pissed off in 4-5 years. Accuride makes a great drawer slide. Blum tandum slides are also good stuff. We refuse to use any crap. It wil bite us later. Good luck.

Just be careful. Most of the cabinet makers I know have 4X my house, 5x my lot, a big workshop (i.e., $$$$$$$$$$$$)

I found an online place that has what I was looking for. About $50-70 per pull-out shelf, made of wood to measure. Not sure what slides they use though.

Kind of like buying a tool rollaway, I would assume...ball bearing is better on the slides? Hope so, because that's what will be in Cindy's new cabinets...

I assume so - need to check out the slides mentioned above - if the place I found uses crappy slides, then I may have to make my own pullouts.

be sure the wood is high quality - look for a whole bunch of plies in the plywood & it should be rated AA or AB

you could go crazy with drawer side materials RWebb. You can spec out Apply ply or Baltic Birch. They are vary similar material and are fine and very stable. I rether have solid maple. One can chase your own tail all day long. Afterall, its only a roll-out that never seen. How deep is one's pocket book.

Just get a set of Accuride 3832series slide and you are good to go for a long time. 100lbs slides. Rockler Woodworking will sell and ship you those slides. They do sell retail. All you need is 1/2" space between the opening on each side. Be careful that it will clear the doors and its hinges. You might need spacers to clear the face frame. If you are a true craftman and don't want to se hardware, then get the Blum Tandam Plus bottom mount slides. They wouldn't beat up your door. good luck
