Many Scandinavian in Fargo/Moorhead area, hence all the beautiful blondes. I was born in Fargo and raised across the river in Moorhead Mn. Left with my parents in 1968 when I was 12. My parents worked until retirement in California in1988 and went back and bought the same house they'd sold 20 years earlier. No, it wasn't for sale at the time, but dad made an offer they couldn't refuse. They had the same friends and neighbors and lived happily until they passed.

W ND is another world. Also it seems to have an older inbred culture. gotta love it when soccer moms pull out of their ranch full of kids and go right up to 90 mph on safe roads.

There was so little diversification that I don't think I spoke to a non-white person until we moved to California when I was 12. None in school, church, scouting, little league, camp. I'd say almost zero minorities in the 60's, and not many more now. Seemed normal then, but sounds strange now.
