Obsolete 1990's technology

Thrown Hammer's thread on finally getting a cell phone made me think. What else is "recent" technology that is already obsolete....or was so cutting edge but now it's everywhere? I'll start:

- Calling cards (everyone uses the cell these days don't they?)
- AOL/Dial up internet (yes, Paul....we know.)
- Car CD changers....I know they still make them, does anyone with more than 6 discs buy them?
- Analog cell phones
- 3.5" discs (yeah not really 90's but you get the point)

What else?

laser discs. Technically late '80s but still

I used a fax machine at work up until the mid 90s.

I used my fax machine (actually fax/printer/scanner) today to send a drawing to a company for a plexiglas case for some artwork.

That's an MFD, not a fax machine.

I wish more people thought this... maybe I could afford one.

Until then, I will stick with my outdated 1990s manpickle.

kids are going to laugh that people actually bought movies on little disks, just like they laugh now that we took pictures on film, paid money and waited patently for them to be developed before we even knew what the pictures looked like.

I have used the FAX machine at work this week. A 200 million dollar company and every office has more than one and we use them.

Pay Phones
Cigarettes
Wrap-around sunglasses
the New York Yankees
"Taz" t-shirts

etc. I'll probably think of more.

Actually, I use a fax machine daily. I do try to scan/e-mail stuff wherever possible, but some people find the convenience of being able to do this with one button (which is essentially what a fax machine does) easier/simpler. I don't see them going away anytime soon but gradually over a long time.

POTS lines.

Haven't had one in the house for years and we have eliminated all of them at work.
