How many points you give me Mule?

Cdnone1 08-28-2008 03:14 PM

It didn't take long for the UCLA fans to start asking for points!

Do you glow in the dark?:D

Hugh R 08-28-2008 03:59 PM

I should! In high school (early 70s) I used to go swimming with friends in flooded quarries inside the chain fenced area of the K-25 gaseous diffusion plant. I got brought home by the Atomic Energy Commission police once and my dad, who was a nuclear engineer at Oak Ridge told me not to go in them again because in the 40s/50s 60s they dump a lot of radioactive stuff in them.

UCLA is rebuilding and that won't happen over-night. they are gonna get beaten up pretty bad by Tenn. My guess? the vols by 42.

UCLA is going to get better, but so is Notre dame.

You should be able to charge up a car battery, at least!:D

I like the deer hunts, where they had to Geiger counter the deer before you could take it home. I figured if one flunked, it would cook itself on the way home!

Oak Ridge TN, highest percentage of genius IQ's of any town in America, for real! And scenic as hell!

Someone at work told me 12 but that isn't going to happen.

I worked at San Onofre but not long enough to get a glow.

There's places in Oak Ridge where it wouldn't take long. 10 is what I saw in a couple of places.

I'm walking down to the bah room to see who the Saints will cut.

I was out there for a while too. Worked for Bechtel overhauling unit 2 and 3, did some containment work too. Last time I was there was in 95.
I just looked at it like a temporary gig until something better came along and it did.
What did you do there? Were you the guy with the M16 watching me all the time? ;)

The still survey deer (a sampling) during hunting season. They're allowing limited Canada geese hunting this year, too. There going to be surveying those also.

I work at ORNL.

Go Vols!!!!!!

UCLA beats Tennessee by 9!

Rick Neuheisel & Norm Chow bring a whole new attitude back to UCLA. SoCal has AMAZING athletes. UCLA pulls off a stunner and beats Tennessee.

My memory may be failing me on this issue, but didn't UCLA beat the total hell out of the Vols a couple times in recent history? I can't find any info on the net.

Go Bruins!!!

Mike

FWIW I was in Knoxville about 15 years ago during the opening weekend of College football. The Vol's were playing someone like Louisiana A&M Tech. Anyway, the whole town was so supportive and enthusiastic about the Vol's. People had their cars painted in Vol orange and white. It was very exciting and really quite a bit different than what one sees here in wishy-washy SoCal.

It looks like they finally have the right coaching staff (and attitude) to get the program solidly into the top 10, but it may take a couple of years. They seem to have a terrible time keeping their QBs uninjured. I think in the next couple of years, they will find a really good college QB (a Cade McNown type) who is durable and that will make a huge difference.

College football isn't the only game/thing in town in SoCal.

In SEC country, it's not that there isn't anything better to do, it's that there's nothing we would rather be doing (unless there's a race over at Road Atlanta).
