Did anyone else watch the premiere of "Fringe"?

I can see by searching that the PPOT forum is not a particularly big fan of super kewl TV shows...so I don't expect much from this (your Lost thread only went 2 pages...Heroes was even shorter...)

But, on the off chance that any of you fuddy duddys :p still enjoy the new style of hyper complex serial shows...what did ya think of this new Abrams creation?

watching it now. i may be all in. that blonde chick has the "hard" kinda hots that i like.

Now, It's no Lost, nor a Heroes, but it might still be better than anything else on network TV. I was a bit hesitant until they showed the "upcoming scenes" at the end, and that swayed me a bit back towards giving it the college try.

"X-Files" ripoff from the sound of it.

Certainly nothing worth wasting my time on.

Jagshund 09-09-2008 09:54 PM

Oops. Forgot it was on. I was busy reading about cat farts.

I found it a moderately enjoyable way to waste over an hour tonight. Not the best show out there, but well above average.

How useful. I'm so glad you decided to comment on a show that you didn't watch, now I know the truth, and won't waste any more of my terribly valuable time watching that "ripoff".

You've saved me from ignorance.

I wanted to watch it, but was out of my apartment when it was on. Hopefully I'll catch the next episode.

House is one I never miss, however.

There is a repeat of the pilot this weekend, dunno when.

Have to disagree, that would be "Mad Men".

EDIT: Oops, you said network TV (MM is on AMC). My mistake, play on.

Bleyseng 09-10-2008 08:03 AM

yeah, I watched and thought it was pretty good especially the part where she stripped down to her undies.

onewhippedpuppy 09-10-2008 08:15 AM

They still show non-reality television on network TV?!

Exactly - I liked it a lot when compared to the other completely moronic network shows such as "The Wall" (I think that's the title) where contestants have to 'pose' in the exact cut-ouyt shape of a wall that moves toward them or they are scraped into a pool.............................................. ........unf***king believable

gtc 09-10-2008 01:29 PM

Lol asphalt, that sounds awesome. Better than reality TV at least.

I saw the Fringe pilot when it was leaked a few months ago... pretty good stuff, especially considering how crappy Heroes had become in the second season.

ChrisBennet 09-10-2008 04:04 PM

I liked it. Might go on the recording schedule.
