How about taking it a step further---

Take all those kind folks who defaults on their mortgages due to the fact that they couldn't afford to live in them to begin with, and PUT them to work. They can paint stripes on the highways, pick up garbage, sort recycling...etc. After all, if the government is going to bail them out, the government might as well get something out of the deal...

actually, no -- what they are doing is called "efficient breach" of a contract

it is enshrined in the UCC and big businesses do it to each other all the time
